An exceptional and solid Mid-Century walnut file cabinet/credenza by iconic designer Jens Risom, ca. 1960s, manufactured in the USA. This absolutely stunning piece features gorgeous walnut wood grain, stylish brass pulls and door hinges, a low profile, and sits atop four squared wooden legs. The brass handles have an elegant and simplistic design that enhance the clean lines of this beautifully grained credenza. This beautiful Cabinet Credenza features the highest quality in materials with solid maple interiors and drawers. Two drawers on each side frame a center cabinet space behind a single door, providing abundant storage space. The two top smaller drawers feature a fixed horizontal divider and two compartments. The far right upper drawer bears the Risom Design makers label (Jens Risom Design Inc.). The two larger bottom drawers offer filing storage and are fitted with metal file hanging hardware. The center door opens to reveal a single adjustable shelf and compartment for ample storage. The back of the case is finished, allowing the piece to serve as a room divider. Most likely designed for an office, this cabinet would also be perfect for storing linens/serving ware in a dining room, or housing books and collectables in a living room or bedroom. The low profile lends itself to be placed in an entryway/foyer, or below a flat screen TV. The clean lines, beautiful grained wood with complimenting brass hardware accents will blend beautifully with any décor style!
