A set of 6 beautiful mid century modern Rosewood “Cortina” dining chairs designed by Svante Skogh for Seffle Möbelfabrik made in Sweden. A spectacular vintage set of 6 armless rosewood dining chairs featuring a gently arched and sculpted rosewood back rails, tapered round peg legs capped with a brass accent ring. These timeless chairs afford extreme comfort with the arched back and feature 2 inch deep red upholstered cushion seats. Stamped: “Seffle” Made in Sweden on the underside of each chair.
Condition Report: Original upholstery; minor wear, no tears in fabric, we recommend having them recovered, very minor surface flaws. Structurally sound and very comfortable seating.

Swedish designer Svante Skogh is best known for his mid-century designs produced by Seffle (sometimes written as Säffle), though he worked with a number of furniture producers throughout his career, which spanned the 1950s and ‘60s. Although there is little information available on Skogh’s personal life or career development, many of his designs have survived and are highly sought after on the vintage market today.
