Antique pair of French Louis XV style open armchairs in walnut Late 19 century

Description

Pair of fine, French 19th Century Louis XV style,

beautifully carved open armchair in walnut.  Dated

between 1880 and 1900. The chairs are upholstered in a

floral fabric. These beautiful pair of chairs are finely

hand- carved with graces and curvature. The serpentine

topped back is carved with delicate flowers and leaves.

This elegant carving has a great patina and continues to

the out-carved arms and seat rail, down through to the

cabriolet legs.  Extra wide seats and padded arms for

comfort. Nicely scrolled Louis XV French arms with

curvy legs and supported with escargot carved feet.

What a wonderful pair, to make a stunning statement

in any room!
