Beautiful Chippendale Style Leather Mahogany Partner Desk Hekman

This is a very fine mahogany Chippendale style partner desk by Hekman Furniture. This is absolutely gorgeous! The mahogany surface rich with minimal wear. The top is the original three-part leather insert writing surface with gilded tooling around the edges, framed in a band of mahogany.  The front of the desk features a single central drawer, flanked by two drawers at right and single faux-two filing drawer at left. Retains its original brass hardware. The drawer with quite fine dovetailing, the back side is finished in a rich mahogany allowing placement as central object of the room, it is designed to be seen from all angles.  The entire desk rests over cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet.  The construction throughout the desk is impeccable. This is a very beautiful American made piece of furniture, one that defines a study or office and built to last for generations. Signature at the drawer.
