Vintage walnut credenza, serving cart, mid-20th century, the “Emphasis” Collection in the Broyhill Premiere line, circa 1960s. This absolute jewel remains in nearly pristine condition, with sophisticated lines. This unit features three center drawers with sculpted walnut torpedo pulls and two cabinets on the left and right sides open up to a shelf offering ample storage capability. Back has a cut out for storing electrical components, all in a dark walnut patina and a black faux slate top. There are two drop leaves which extend the 48″ server to 70″ when open. Top drawer has a divided compartment for storing flatware and retains original paper tag marked with Broyhill Premier Emphasis label inside.
Hearty American construction, one of the most beloved and collected lines of American furniture. An exceedingly fine serving cart. This piece has been very well taken care of over the years. Broyhill was founded in North Carolina in 1926 by James Broyhill. The “Emphasis” line is from Broyhill Furniture.
