Impressive Danish executive floating teak desk Model FM 60 designed by iconic Danish designer Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Mobelfabrik in 1958 and produced circa 1960s for retailer Illums Bolighus. This freestanding desk features a raised “floating” top resting over four tapered legs and supported by two removable pegs. This large mid century teak Danish executive size desk is precisely crafted in exceptional teak grain wood, with a fully finished back the finished back side makes this desk ideal for placement in an open floor plan, making it a great focal point. There are two sets of three graduated drawers flanking the knee hole space in the front with carved, Kristiansen’s trademark eyelid design. drawer pulls, smoothly operating the drawers, each offering deep and plentiful storage space. The top two drawers lock with key included. At the rear two extra storage cabinets with open shelf space in the center. Brass plaque Maker’s name on underside (“Illums Bolighus København”). This piece defines that space around it making a statement in whatever room it becomes a part of. It will surely be a focal point.
