Classic mid-century modern swivel “Tulip” stool designed by Eero Saarinen (USA 1910-1961) for Knoll Furniture International in 1956. Features original beige wool upholstery with contrasting coral red check grid lines covering a padded circular seat with swivel mechanism above the iconic curved aluminum pedestal base in its original white finish. This time-honored example of mid-century modern design can be incorporated into virtually any decorating style for additional seating in any room of your home or office. Leave it in its original state as part of your classic mid-century collection or recover the seat and change the base color to reflect your individual design flair. The Knoll label is attached and stamped with the date on underside. Very sturdy and perfectly functioning swivel mechanism. The original upholstery has some discoloration as shown. A second tulip stool is also available (sold separately).
