Sophisticated set of eight Mid-Century Modern high back dining chairs, designed by John Stuart in the United States, circa 1960’s. Featuring a striking combination of beautiful, warm, rich, walnut wood and black upholstery. The set consists of two (2) host armchairs and six (6) side chairs. Tall open frame back rest with upholstered central panel. The comfortable and supportive high backrests and seats are upholstered in the original rich black vinyl. Back splats are trimmed in walnut and feature a walnut top rail and frame. The wood trim detail on the reverse side of the backrests creates an absolutely stunning profile! The seats rest on simple walnut aprons and legs. Makers label on underside of seat (John Stuart Inc. New York). Simple, elegant styling, this set will add an element of glamour to a dining room or make a great impression around a conference table.
