Attractive vintage multipurpose 8-drawer lingerie chest or tall dresser by Ficks Reed, circa 1970s.
This is a very stylish Hollywood regency 8 drawer design, the craftsmanship is quite striking, with the manufacturer’s label on the inside drawer (Ficks Reed). Features two shallow top drawers, measuring 3.5″ deep, and three larger drawers measuring 4″ deep. The bottom two drawers measure 6.5″ deep. Each drawer has raised decorative bamboo-style framing with attractive brass pulls. A clean, simple framed cabinet trimmed in thin edges drawer design with plenty of storage beautiful original ivory white paint creating a beautiful face, and top, to this tall dresser. Raised on short legs joined with a diamond pattern, cross hatch rattan. This lingerie chest would be just as stylish in the bedroom, as it would be in the office behind a desk, or in a living room.
Condition Report: Original finish, exhibit little signs of wear, overall gorgeous surface condition. Construction is strong and sturdy, drawers open and close freely, the cabinet and framing are tight, the base is tight level and supportive. The original ivory white paint is in very good vintage condition.
