John Widdicomb French Provincial Louis XVI Directoire Style Walnut Oval D-end Extension Dining table cross-banded top with quartered veneers and two conforming leaf insertions accommodated upon an extending telescopic action in a a vibrant walnut glow remains in good condition, shows minimal signs of wear , resting on a beautiful thick strong and solid apron with a panel molded frieze metal accent mounts, turned and fluted Louis XVI Style legs one drop down folding central leg allows the frame to easily expand open to receive two original leaves allowing the table to extend to a full 119” exquisitely constructed. Table came as set with 6 matching chairs. Table is not marked, chairs are labeled John Widdicomb. This is a wonderful table that offers a very special semi-formal genre being a piece that was built to last the test of time. Traditional and timeless.
