Description
An extremely elegant gilt wood and upholstered chair from early 20th century carved in the typical manner of the period. The cartouche shaped back, padded arms and seat covered in nailed fabric. The chair rest over carved cabriole legs with excellent stance. At the frieze is a finely carved rosette design. The wide bombee seat is flanked by open carved arms with upholstered arm rest. Crafted to last the test of time making a very fine statement piece, remaining incredibly tasteful and popular for more than two hundred years. Upholstery is in good condition no tears, chair is sturdy and strong.
