A Tekke rug, Central Turkestan, wool on wool foundation, the condition of the carpet is excellent,
the terracotta red field with overall horizontal bands of hooked and stepped guls within an ivory stylised plant and meandering vine border, plant ends.

This banded design seems to be unique to the Tekke tribe of central Turkestan. The colours are more muted than normally seen which indicates a later date as specified.
