A set of four 1960s Danish modern teak dining chairs by famous designer Johannes Andersen, made in Denmark by Uldum Møbelfabrik: model UM85. A classic of Danish design. Made of solid teak, features curved backrests set on angled brackets, padded seats retain its original leatherette upholstery, resting on tapered legs, with exquisite finger joinery and stunning wood grain throughout.
Original labels on the underside: ‘Uldum Møbelfabrik – Made in Denmark’ with logo. They remain in excellent vintage condition and are comfortable. The rich solid teak frames are very sturdy and have exceptional stunning wood grain throughout. The sculpted and formed details is what makes them so desired. Leatherette upholstery is original. Johannes Andersen, chairs are some of the most valuable and collectable Danish Chairs on the market, very modern and elegant. The set would look amazing around a dining room table, or as side chairs.
Condition Report: Original finish wear consistent with age and use, overall gorgeous surface condition. Construction is strong and sturdy. Slight wear on upholstery no tears or rips in fabric.
