An exceptional black lacquer, made by century furniture, Louis XV style desk. This is a very attractive, well-crafted Louis XV style ebonised and parcel gilt writing table or desk from the 20th Century. Finely crafted with superior materials well preserved black lacquered original ebony finish. Surface highlighted with gilded brass ormolu mounts retaining its original factory finish. The detailed embellishments give it the primary focus of the form, incredibly well carved, preserved under lacquer for a brilliant glow. Beautiful marble center table with an ogee edge black and green veined marble top rest over four cabriole legs with pierced gilt metal mounts, of serpentine freestanding form. The marble top of rectangular form underside stamped made in Italy, carved base with three shaped drawers, above cabriole legs quality and precision standards of this exceptional piece very sturdy and strong. One drawer is stamped with maker name (Century). This is in excellent condition. Built to last the test of time. It is an investment grade selection and will certainly be a cherished for a lifetime.
