Description
Stately two piece American secretary breakfront china cabinet in the Chippendale style featuring molded cornice and carved frieze above four doors with bowed bubble 12 pane glass insets and oval shaped astragals, the interior with shelves, which have inserts for dishes, the lower part comprising of cubby holes for storage in concealed drop down desk, fitted with a red leather writing surface, in a pull out drawer, flanked by two short drawers, below are three long drawers flanked by a pair of panel doors, on a plinth base. Top and side cabinets all lock with key, the crown molding on top making this bookcase unique. This handsome breakfront library bookcases cabinet is influenced by George III period.
