Description
An exceptional Mid-Century Modern serving bar cart by designer Poul Hundevad, made in Denmark, circa 1960s. Beautifully crafted from teak, this cleverly designed piece features a sliding upper shelf and two detachable lower shelves; one can be used as an extension to expand the upper shelf work and serving surface to 59 1/8″. The top shelf simply slides to the side to expose two rails allowing for placement of the bottom shelf. Wooden locking mechanisms secure the shelf in place. Each shelf features a tuned edge “lip” design to prevent items from sliding when in use. Attractive brass and rubber casters allow for easy mobility when accommodating guests and serving beverages, dessert or appetizers. A perfect piece to display décor and books when not functioning as a serving cart. Simple, clean design and lines to blend with and complement many décor genres. Makers label (Made in Denmark) on the underside.
