Stunning vintage Mid Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia walnut dining table, circa early 1960s. This absolute jewel remains in nearly pristine condition throughout. The Brasilia line is a collection that was first presented at the world’s fair in Seattle in 1962, as a tribute to the design of Brazilian famed architect Oscar Niemeyer. One of the most celebrated and highly collectible lines in the American atomic era of design. Features a rectangular top, and two conforming leaf insertion, raised over four tapered legs. Maker’s name stamped on underside (Broyhill Brasilia). The frame easily expands open to receive two original 12″ leaves allowing the table to extend to a full (89 3/4″ ) exquisitely constructed. This is a wonderful table that offers two large leaves changing it from a medium size table to a large table, making this a versatile piece indeed, built to last the test of time.
