Mid Century Danish teak Drop Leaf Desk Arne Vodder Denmark

A desk with incredible form and presence. This rare most attractive original Danish Modern drop leaf desk by Arne Vodder (1926-2009) design for Sibast Mobler in Denmark features a drop leaf frame with floating hanging triple drawer storage section. This movable drawer unit glides smoothly from left to right with ease accommodating right or left handed use. The leaf hangs from two hooks, and is removable. To use the leaf, it is raised, and the entire surface shifts laterally on a track. The drawer cabinet is also on a track, allowing the user to switch sides, as depicted in photos. The leaf measures 18″.  The top is crafted with original teak surface throughout, with a rich and glowing patina that makes the table magnetic visually. Wonderful distinctive sculptural shape.  For anyone passionate about the fine designs of Arne Vodder, this is an excellent original desk. The warm teak surfaces are most attractive. Absolute strike point classic modernist quality and design piece for the modern interior.
