Fabulous Mid-Century Modern Coffee table designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall for Drexel’s Declaration Collection, circa 1960s. Featuring a rectangular top in beautifully grained walnut wood above two drawers on the right, each drawer is adorned with Drexel’s signature porcelain ball knob on a brass fitting, creating a striking contrast to the walnut wood. Maker Stamp (by Drexel) on the inside of the drawer. The left side has a flush tabletop that opens to reveal interior storage. The finished back side provides additional storage with two open storage cubbies. A recessed base of round tapered legs and apron provide stable support while conveying an airy “floating” effect. Clean lines and timeless style, this showstopper will be an enhancing addition to any interior and also blend beautifully with many décor styles. Full matching set available (sold separately).
Condition Report: Construction is strong and sturdy. Drawers open effortlessly and smoothly; hardware intact, beautiful finish, the wood grain is naturally highlighted in a walnut pattern throughout, with a rich walnut tone.
