Versatile and remarkable Scandinavian Modern extra-long “Korbo” bench or table designed by Torbjorn Afdal for Bruksbo and manufactured by Mellemstrands Trevareindustri SA, Norway, circa 1960s. This low, elongated modernistic bench/table features beautiful Afromosia teak wood, lipped edges and three square sculpted “sled” legs with enameled black stretchers underneath, providing optimal support. Maker’s Stamp and Label (MELLEMSTRANDS TREVAREINDSTRI BRUKSBO MODELL MADE IN NORWAY) on underside. Striking example of minimalistic Scandinavian craftsmanship, representing an era of sleek, timeless, elegant design.
