Description
Remarkably crafted and stunning pair of nightstands by Lane Furniture, AltaVista VA, circa 1960s. A beautiful example of Mid-Century craftsmanship, the two front doors feature wonderfully grained walnut wood resembling a “backgammon board” pattern. Two round brass knobs adorned with wood grain detail on the flat front surface add a stylish element and pull open to reveal generous storage space. A locking switch mechanism rests inside the left door, that when pressed, releases effortlessly. The richly grained walnut top features a gently sculpted curved front creating an elegant profile. A solid, recessed apron base plinth adds support and stability. This attractive and unique pair will add a touch of pizzazz to a bedroom, or beautifully border a sofa in a living/family room. Classic modernist quality and design piece for any style interior!
