An elegant long Lane First Edition Mid-Century Modern sculpted walnut credenza/sideboard with detachable glass hutch. This is a beautiful example of Mid-Century craftsmanship by Lane Furniture Scandia line, First Edition Buffet Credenza, with Louvered Front Drawers and glass door hutch. Hutch top lifts off the lower cabinet. The upper portion features three convenient glass doors that open to reveal one fixed shelf with grooves for displaying dishware. The lower portion of the unit features three spacious drawers, in the center and two cabinets on the left and right sides. Each cabinet with sculpted Accordion style Doors opens to reveal a fixed interior shelf within. One of the most beloved and collected lines of American furniture is the atomic age. An extremely well made and solid piece in good condition with simple elegant lines and beautifully louvered drawers curving at an angle over the face of each drawer, the whole rest on recessed plinth base. The wood is naturally highlighted in a walnut pattern throughout, with a rich glossy brown tone. Manufacturer name (Lane) stamped on interior of drawer. Attractive classic modernist quality and design piece for the modern interior.
