Description
A very attractive long, four-seater upholstered sofa. Features original Naugahyde upholstery, four removable zippered seat cushions that are well intact, and four loose back cushions. The tight back and clean modern lines give this sofa a sleek silhouette. Resting over distinctive walnut tapered and fluted legs (five tapered, one back center leg is rounded) wood frame is sturdy and supportive. Incredibly well built with a solid frame and distinctive early mid century modern design shows Danish influence, with its original olive colored Naugahyde upholstery. This rare vintage sofa is a fine example of Baughman’s early 1970s work for Thayer Coggin, distributed by Stanley Furniture of Baltimore. This is a time capsule piece with little wear, for its life. Label “Stanley Furniture of Baltimore” on the couch under the center seat cushion.
