Stunning mid century chrome arc floor lamp with a solid steel base, circa 1960s. Attributed to Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Features chrome spherical adjustable shade atop adjustable dramatic chrome cantilever rod, supported by a dense rectangular solid weighted steel base, for balance, original wiring with convenient on off step switch. Cleverly designed with perforated circles in the aluminum shade for diffusing the light creating a beautiful effect when lamp is on. Tall, elegant and classic, providing overhead lighting that doesn’t require ceiling suspension. The stylish design with the soft curve rod allows the bright bulbous shade to focus the light down. Pole comes apart in 2 pieces for transport.
