Handsome highboy gentleman’s chest designed by Nils Jonsson for Torring and manufactured by HJN Mobler, Denmark circa, 1960. Featuring classic, clean modern lines and beautifully grained teak wood characteristic of Danish Mid-Century Modern design and style. This is a very sought after piece, in virtually mint condition. Features six drawers on the left side with easy gliding double dovetail joints and stylish recessed pulls, with solid wood construction (no particleboard). The door on the right side of chest, which locks and includes original key, opens to reveals six sliding trays, with divider down the middle, all constructed with dovetailed joints. The trays are perfect for smaller items; such as, scarves, belts, and gloves, an additional open space on the bottom allows for larger items making this a versatility piece and providing ample storage. Mounted on sturdy solid recessed teak legs and frame. This sleek and stately timeless beauty will make a great addition to a mid-century modern collection and also blend beautifully with other décor styles.
