Description
Beautiful rosewood bent wood “Siesta” Westnofa lounge chair and ottoman. Designed by Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) in 1965 for Westnofa. Siesta chair made in Norway with original label “Westnofa Furniture Made in Norway.” This is one of the more iconic Mid-century modern pieces. A must-have for the MCM furniture collector. Chair is true to its name as Siesta means afternoon nap in Spanish and this would be the perfectly place to do so. Beautiful shape, the sling seat is supported by a contoured base that acts to distribute the tension, aiding in comfort. Cushion on the chair and the footrest can be removed. One of the more comfortable chairs in this style. This chair could also be considered a sling chair as the cushion is held up by the fabric that is held up by the wood. Very beautiful and minimalist design with original label “Westnofa Furniture”. Consider pairing this with matching one (sold separately)
