Striking pair of architectural mid-century modern two-tier bleached mahogany nightstands or end tables by American of Martinsville, circa 1960s. Each cabinet features minimalist cantilevered design with curved brass spindles supporting the top tiers which house invisible-edge concealed drawers. The spindles are replicated in the vertical lower dovetail joinery, drawers with brass pulls between two protruding block fronts. The concave molded plinth bases add an interesting variation to the angular block form of the nightstands. Makers name stamped inside drawer (American of Martinsville). Beautiful matched elegant sleek, nightstands/ tables perfect as bedside nightstands or for in the living room.
