A beautiful pair of vintage, impressive and sleek mid-century modern walnut, two tiered, nightstands or end tables, circa early 1960s by Broyhill Brasilia. These absolute jewels remain in nearly pristine condition. The lines are clean and elegant. Features square top above a single drawer with original polished brass drawer pulls and lower magazine shelf, all resting on slightly tapering legs.
The Brasilia line is a collection that was first presented at the world’s fair in Seattle in 1962, as a tribute to the design of Brazilian famed architect Oscar Niemeyer. One of the most celebrated and highly collectible lines on the American atomic era of design. Well identified by the Broyhill company and will make a wonderful addition to any mid-century home. Condition: Original brass colored signature Brasília hardware is in fantastic shape, original finish, exhibit little signs of wear, with typical scuffs, overall gorgeous surface condition. Construction is strong and sturdy.
