Fabulous highly collectible Danish Modern, mid century expandable, desk/table, designed by Jens Quistgaard of Dansk for Peter Løvig Nielsen, circa 1960s. A remarkable statement of quality in design executed to last the test of time, finely crafted with attention to detail. This beautiful versatile desk features a hinged console on the top of the desk with outstanding detail includes two original, removable, finger jointed trays and cubbies for open storage which flips back and down to transform the desk from 28.75″ into a completely larger flat table work surface of 38.25″ deep offering an abundance of work space. Outstanding quality and construction with stunning rich teak finish, raised over straight square legs and supported by stretchers for additional support. Stamped (Lovig Dansk Designs Denmark) on underside. This fantastic desk is in very nice vintage condition, the top looks great. There is a lock on the drawer with a key.
Condition Report: Solid, stable sturdy construction; drawers slide smoothly. Original surface shows beautiful and in great condition.
