Description
Remarkable teakwood credenza designed by Famous designer Svend Larsen for Faarup Mobelfabrik in Denmark. This piece is long, low, and just stunning!!! High quality Danish Modern piece perfect for storing your media components, or your fine Mid-century dinnerware. Precisely crafted in exceptional teak grain wood, with a fully finished back and teak interior. The finished back side makes this credenza ideal for placement in an open floor plan, making it a great focal point. This credenza sits atop four original solid teak legs giving it the very sought after “floating” look. Sliding tambour doors with carved handles open to reveal two long adjustable shelves on one side, four dovetailed drawers in the center, and on the other side, one short adjustable shelf. Doors disappear from sight when opened sliding seamlessly into the frame. Drawers are fabric lined, interior cabinet measurements are below. Signed with Danish Control Mark on the inside of the interior drawer, only adding to the value and collectivity of this piece. Measuring 7 1/2 feet long, this 60’s gem was the largest produced version of this attractive full length sliding tambour door design. The wood grain is naturally highlighted in a teak pattern throughout, with a rich teak tone on front, back and interior. Attractive classic modernist quality and design piece for the modern home. An exceedingly well-crafted fine credenza, this piece has been very well taken care of over the years, one that will certainly make a powerful impression on a clean and modern interior décor.
