Description
Remarkably well developed finely carved with grace and curvature walnut open armchair, of French Provincial style crafted during mid- to- late 20th Century, built to last the test of time, the crest rail is intricately carved along the top with floral display, the apron is carved with the same exemplary skill as the other portions of the chair. This elegant carving has a great patina and continues to the out-carved arms and seat rail, down through the cabriolet legs, exquisite needlepoint back, arm rest and seat, with accent nail head trimmings add sophistication. The beautiful needlepoint padded seat and back with man, women and floral accents in shades of cream, periwinkle blue deep rose, pink, green, and amber against an off white background, remains in excellent condition. Extra wide seats and padded arms for comfort. Nicely scrolled Italian open armchair with curvy legs and supported with escargot carved feet.
