Mid Century Abstract Geometric Oil and beeswax painting. This is an absolutely gorgeous, original, vintage work of art on joined wood panels by David Ortins 1989. The painting is in the Abstract style with Expressionist brush strokes, in heavy black vertical lines. The painting is executed in equal color palettes, with an expressionistic technique on a muted white wax background emphasizes the translucent quality of the wax, while the vertical lines are done in black giving it depth. This style and technique are difficult to achieve which showcases the quality of the painting. David Ortins (American, B. 1957) art appears in collections such as Minneapolis Institute of Art. This painting will add style to any mid-century Design house or art collection.
