Description
Mid-Century Modern early vintage molded fiberglass shell side chair designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Features molded fiberglass reinforced plastic shell accented with classic fibrous strands. The chair is raised and mounted on solid black rubber shock mounts and a metallic H-base 4- leg frame. Also retains Herman Miller raised Embossed logo stamp (bird logo) and paper factory label on the underside of the seat. The text at the bottom reads “HERMAN MILLER, INC.”. The Manufacturer Name. Herman Miller officially changed its name from “The Herman Miller Furniture Company” to “Herman Miller, Inc.” in 1959. The four-digit red ink stamp on the right (1061) is a factory tracking number found on labels printed around 1960–1961.
Condition Report: Frame is in good structural condition, shows well, rubber shock mounts strong and sturdy. Construction is strong and sturdy.
