Danish Black Frame Chairs Niels Koefoed for Koefoeds Hornslet Lis

An outstanding set of four dining chairs in black frames, designed by Niels Koefoed for Koefoeds Hornslet, model “Lis” made in Denmark, circa 1960s. This stunning set of four ladder back chairs feature two arm chairs and two side chairs in original upholstered seats. The arm chairs are beautifully proportioned and feature softly curved and carved arms that float gracefully down the side of the seat and seamlessly surround and terminate at the side rail. The chair backs feature a gently carved ladder back with a subtle bow-tie shape. A tall and beautifully angled frame maintains comfort while showcasing a simple elegant form. The frame is finished black, exceptional craftsmanship. This rare set of highly sought after chairs will be a wonderful addition to any modern home.
