Beautiful rare Mid-Century Modern dining table designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller, circa 1950s. Amazing design and construction detail, with two built-in self-storing leaves. With modernist elegant lines, this rectangular 54″ long dining table features squared legs and two 14″ concealed self-storing butterfly-form leaves extending to 82″ long with both leaves or 68″ long with one leaf. The crafty butterfly leaves conveniently concealed under the table completely out of sight. Simply pull on both ends to extend the table allowing the folding butterfly leaves to easily pivot up and unfold. The George Nelson Design Herman Miller Zeeland Michigan label is attached.
Condition Report: Very good vintage condition with minimal age wear. The table surface is slightly lighter than the leaves. Construction is strong and sturdy.
