Six Mid-Century Earnest Farmer George Nelson Herman Miller Model 4663 chairs

Remarkably, Iconic, stunning and extraordinarily rare set of six Model 4663 dining/side chairs, two armchairs and four side chairs by Earnest Farmer with George Nelson & Associates for Herman Miller, circa 1960. This classic and unique Mid-Century Modern set features a full matching set of six, two which are arm chairs, each remaining in original condition throughout. Features durable frames with sculpture backrests, and padded high density seats, with tapered splayed legs. The arm chairs are beautifully proportioned and feature softly curved and carved arms that float gracefully down the side of the seat and terminate at the splayed legs. They remain in good vintage condition and are comfortable. The rich solid frames are very sturdy and have exceptional stunning wood grain throughout. The sculpted and formed details are what makes them so desired, very modern and elegant. The set would look amazing around a dining room table, or as side chairs.
